2 Legends Gone

Today the world suffered two losses. Charlie's Angel Farrah Fawcett and the King of Pop Michael Jackson. These were two legends that were loved, hated, laughed at, and spoofed. Both were referrenced on The Simpsons, to the point Michael actually did the voice on an episode (but he used an alias).

It was a sad day today, but we must see the celebration in their lives. Farrah faught a good fight against cancer. Almost every episode of Entertainment Tonight I've watched recently was about her. She had the spirit of someone who was happy for every day she had. I wish more people had that outlook. Michael Jackson was the definition of an icon. He popularized the "moonwalk" on Motown 25 nearly 17 years ago. He was THE entertainer of entertainers. He was contantly referrenced, copied, but never duplicated.

The world of of entertainment as a whole has two large voids. This one of those days where you never forget where you were when you found out. This is what the older generations talk about when they found out Marvin Gaye died. May they both rest in peace.

R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson
